Our Commitment to Accessibility
Ironton Metropolitan Housing Authority is committed to ensuring that its programs, services, and activities are accessible to individuals with disabilities in compliance with Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and the Fair Housing Act.
Ironton Metropolitan Housing Authority does not discriminate on the basis of disability in its housing programs, services, or activities. We are committed to providing reasonable accommodations and modifications to ensure equal access for all individuals.

Grievance Procedure
If you believe you have been subjected to discrimination on the basis of disability in any program, service, or activity provided by Ironton Metropolitan Housing Authority, you may file a complaint using the process below.
- File a complaint using the form below, or submit a written complaint to the ADA Coordinator by mail or email. Include your name, contact information, a description of the problem, the date and location of the incident, and your requested remedy.
- Acknowledgment. The ADA Coordinator will acknowledge receipt of your complaint within 5 business days.
- Investigation. The ADA Coordinator will investigate the complaint, which may include interviews and a review of relevant documents, and will issue a written determination within 15 business days of receiving the complaint.
- Appeal. If you are not satisfied with the determination, you may file a written appeal with the Executive Director within 15 business days of receiving the response. A final decision will be issued within 15 business days of the appeal.
- External filing. This procedure does not prevent you from filing a complaint at any time with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Office of Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity, the U.S. Department of Justice, or in federal court. Complaints to HUD must be filed within 180 days of the alleged discrimination.
Retaliation against any person who files a complaint or participates in an investigation is prohibited.
Alternative Formats
Information about our programs and services is available in alternative formats (large print, Braille, audio, electronic, and other languages) upon request. Please contact the ADA Coordinator to make a request.
Known Limitations
We are continually working to improve the accessibility of our services. Some older documents, including PDFs, may not yet be fully accessible. If you encounter a document or resource that you are unable to access, please contact the ADA Coordinator and we will provide the information in an alternative format.
